Este é um trabalho fotográfico-documental sobre Feminicídios na Argentina onde olhamos para o incômodo, colocando o foco no feminicida e na estrutura patriarcal em que vivemos, que aninha a violência machista e que em seu mais alto grau vem para matar uma mulher por sua condição como tal.
Quem é esse homem, esse cara que trabalha ao meu lado ou ao seu lado no escritório pela manhã, ele é capaz disso? Qual é a estrutura social onde ocorre o feminicídio? Onde o patriarcado se aninha nesses atos de violência?
Synopsis:
This photobook is the result of the FFALA + ESTRONDO Photobook Award from the 1st Festival of Latin American Women Photographers, held in 2021. It was created by the Argentine collective Rueda Photos, composed of Daiana Valencia and Celeste Alonzo.
This is a photographic-documentary project on femicides in Argentina, in which we confront discomfort by shifting the focus to the perpetrator and to the patriarchal structure in which we live—one that harbors misogynistic violence and, at its most extreme, results in the killing of a woman because of her condition as such.
Who is this man—the one who works beside me or beside you in the office in the morning? Is he capable of this? What is the social structure in which femicide occurs? Where does patriarchy nest within these acts of violence?
