Synopsis:

How might one address writing without words? Or, further still, how can an exclusively verbal symbol operate within the realm of the image? From text to textile, through the crossings of histories—their braids and weaves—from the anonymity of collective practices to individual ones, this essay offers a tribute to the human spirit. Guided by lines, by (un)stitchings, and by an intimacy that challenges the solitude of the non-place, these intersections establish points of contact among different disciplines. It traverses the semantization of image, text, and language like an inhabitant dwelling within history—reinventing itineraries and extending fantasy. We recognize ourselves in the rupture of the word, in the complicity of a lost text, and in the abundance of the verb within the history of writing, of weavings, and of the itineraries of the ordinary human.
